Terms of Service
By using the services of Lawpoint.ca (Lawpoint Law Office), you agree to the following terms.
Standards of Practice
All services are provided in accordance with applicable Canadian legislation and regulations, including the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR).
Lawpoint.ca does not offer paid employment placement services in Canada.
We apply best practices in immigration law and make every reasonable effort to achieve a favourable outcome, provided the client cooperates fully and in a timely manner with all requests for information and documentation.
Lawpoint.ca does not provide legal advice on specific cases unless a formal client relationship has been established through a signed service agreement or confirmed payment. Any general information shared outside of such a relationship is not legal advice and should not be relied upon as such.
Disclaimer of Guarantees
Lawpoint.ca does not guarantee the outcome of any immigration application, proceeding, or related process.
Lawpoint.ca does not guarantee processing times. Application timelines are determined by government agencies and other third parties outside our control. Where possible, we provide estimates based on publicly available information, but these are not binding.
Confidentiality
Lawpoint.ca takes all reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality of client information. However, we may disclose client information to Canadian government authorities where such disclosure is required or permitted by law.
Timelines
Lawpoint.ca aims to complete all work within a reasonable timeframe, taking into account applicable deadlines such as filing dates, document expiry, and regulatory timelines.
All clients are served in the order their matters are received. No client is given scheduling priority over another unless expedited service has been expressly agreed upon in the service agreement.
Payments
All payments made through this website are final and non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing. Credit card and PayPal transactions are processed by Stripe Payments Canada Ltd. and PayPal Inc., respectively.
Lawpoint.ca does not collect or store payment card details. All payment processing is handled entirely by the third-party providers named above.
Communication
Email is the preferred method of communication. Lawpoint.ca aims to respond to all enquiries received by email or through this website within three business days. Existing clients receive priority.
Lawpoint.ca may decline to respond to anonymous messages or to enquiries unrelated to immigration law.
Fraud Prevention
If Lawpoint.ca has reasonable grounds to believe that immigration fraud or misrepresentation is occurring or being planned, we reserve the right to report this to the appropriate law enforcement or regulatory authorities as required or permitted by law.
Individual Consultations
Lawpoint.ca offers paid individual consultations based on current legal practice and professional experience. A consultation is a standalone service – booking one does not establish an ongoing client relationship and does not include legal representation or continued legal support.
Consultations end at the scheduled time regardless of late arrival by the client.
A missed consultation (no-show) is non-refundable unless the client provides at least 24 hours' advance notice of cancellation.
